Past & Present
I've been a musician for 19 years; picking up a guitar at 12, and landing behind a drum kit at 15. In that time I've made a lot of music I wouldn't want to share (just, like, so much), but here are a few bands/projects I'm pretty proud to have been a part of. You won't be at all surprised to learn that I'm also the audio engineer for most of these recordings!
2006-2017
Bearcub is my on-again off-again two-piece instrumental group, mixing math rock, punk, jazz, and whatever else we feel like.
2002-2005, 2008, 2016
Commichung was my first really real band. Throughout our main run together we did three albums, and enjoyed some moderate success in the STL punk scene. We're all very old men now, and 1/3 of the band lives in Seattle, but on occasion we get together to write new tunes. Our latest offering, SHORTS, was written & recorded in the summer of 2016.
2009-2012
The Campfire Club was an award-winning (RFT Music Award - Best Folk Band 2012, thankyouverymuch) alt. country band that lasted for a few years, until the thing that happens with most bands happened, and we went our separate ways. I still have a bunch of records in my basement, if you're interested!
2004-present?
Around 2004 I began my own little home recording studio. Throughout the years the gear's been upgraded, the space has moved, but I've tried to keep on recording. Currently most of the recording I do is in studios outside of my space.
